ABOUT ME
I'm Jiří Maršálek, the composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer behind NyckelPhonics — a music studio dedicated to original string arrangements and recordings, with a focus on the nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish keyed fiddle known for its rich, haunting tone.
Since 2010, I’ve worked professionally across genres, producing hundreds of tracks and contributing to film scores, video game soundtracks, symphonic works, and studio albums. Though self-taught, my approach to composition is grounded in a lifelong study of classical music, inspired by composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Arvo Pärt — and shaped by years of producing post-rock, ambient, and electronic music.
This mix of classical structure and modern sound design defines my work: clean, expressive arrangements that serve both emotion and atmosphere.
Through NyckelPhonics, I collaborate with:
-
Studios seeking distinctive, live-recorded soundtrack material
-
Composers needing high-quality string arrangements or nyckelharpa parts
-
Performing artists looking to add a unique sonic layer to their work
Whether it’s a subtle underscore or a complex orchestral texture, I bring creative precision and technical polish to every piece.
